Step Back in Time with the Worstead Heritage Trails

Stuck for something to do this week-end ?  What better way then to brush down the walking boots and get outside for some fresh air !  There are, of course, a number of pleasant walks within a few miles of Tunstead and Sco-Ruston, such as around Coltishall, Barton Broad and Wroxham.

Two walks that has come to our attention recently are based on the Worstead Heritage Trail, which not only provides a wonderful setting but also the opportunity to explore our local heritage.  The walks have been put together in conjunction with the Worstead Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers  and the local Parish Council and includes two trails of 40 sites. Many of the way-points on the trail have links to the wool trade and Worstead cloth which provided the foundation for the village’s early prosperity and made our neighbouring Norfolk village famous.
