  • Defibrillator Demonstration

    Chris Oakes, the Parish Council Chair and local First Responder has set up a defibrillator demonstration session.

    The demonstration will take place at The Horse and Groom. The next session will be on THURSDAY evening of the 23rd August), at 7:30pm. If this session fills up, another session could be run. Note: This is a change from the evening initially advertised. As the trainer will be on first aid duty at Norwich football ground, on the Wednesday.

    Here is what it might look like

    Tunstead and Sco Ruston residents came together and very quickly raised sufficient funds for the purchase of a defibrillator which will be housed in the redundant telephone box opposite the primary school. The telephone box will soon be refurbished and made ready to receive the new machine.

    The device is simple to use, and it guides the user on what to do. Any member of the public is entitled to use the machine in the case when someone’s heart stops (cardiac arrest). However, to give you confidence in its use come along to the demonstration session, and see a training system in use. Chat with first aiders about its use. So when you leave the demonstration you will be clear on how and when its use will be the most effective.

  • Council Extraordinary General Meeting Called

    The Chair of the Tunstead and Sco Ruston Parish Council has called an Extraordinary General Meeting on Tuesday 28th August at 7:30pm in the village modular building.

    This meeting has been called following the passing of the Parish Clerk. It is seen as necessary to report on the progress on resolving issues that have duly arisen following her passing.

  • Parish Council Meeting

    Here is the published agenda for the coming parish council meeting.

    The meeting will take place in the Tunstead Modular Building – Tunstead Recreation Ground, Market Street, on 17th July 2018. It starts at 7:30pm.

    Public participation takes place during the first half-hour of the meeting; the duration of the public participation may be extended at the discretion of the Councillors.

  • Parish Council AGM – 2018

    On the evening of Tuesday the 15th May 2018 there is the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Tunstead and Sco Ruston Parish Council. It is at this meeting that the elected and co-opted councillors will select the chairperson, and set out their roles for the coming year.

    This meeting is held in public, to enable people of the parish observe how the council operates.

    The meeting is adjourned, once started, for an half hour public forum. This adjournment is to enable the public to air their views and concerns, and to offer feedback to the council members. If you wish to participate please come along. The meeting starts at 7:30 in the mobile unit on the village recreation ground.
